I am leaving this review for my grandparents who visited a couple of days ago and they/I want to say a huge thank you to Georgia & the staff at the Garden Cafe for taking care of my granddad after he unfortunately fell ill. He is luckily ok! :) but they are so grateful to have you around during a very stressful time. So thank you all ❤️

Bright sunny day in March. Very nice visit. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Very interesting place to learn history of Shakespeare. Buy the pass with Shakespeare birthplace to save some money. Give yourself 90 minutes or more to experience the place. Another 30 minutes for the grounds.

Anne Hathaway’s Cottage is an absolute delight! The tour of the cottage itself was wonderful — it’s beautifully preserved and full of fascinating history. Walking through the rooms, you really get a sense of the life and times of Shakespeare’s wife and her family. The guides were knowledgeable and added so much depth to the experience.
The grounds were just as enjoyable — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a leisurely stroll. The gardens are lovely and well-maintained, making it a great place to explore and take in the atmosphere.
And don’t leave without trying the apple juice! It’s fresh, crisp, and absolutely delicious — a perfect refreshment after wandering the grounds. All in all, it’s a must-visit spot in Stratford-upon-Avon, full of charm and history. Highly recommend!

It is larger than expected. It is rather expensive if you purchase single entries to the 3 exhibits in Stratford Upon Avon. I recommend purchasing the bundle, which gives you entrance to 3 if visiting after winter (one closes during winter)

This a must visit place in Stratford -upon-Avon! You can know how people lived in the Tudor's time. You can see the original furniture, listen to the stories and know some interesting facts about witches. Also after visiting the house you can go and drink a nice coffee.

We visited Anne Hathaway’s Cottage on Valentine’s Day, and it was absolutely magical! The thatched-roof cottage, surrounded by beautiful gardens, felt like stepping back in time. The history of Shakespeare’s love story made it even more special for the occasion. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating insights about Anne Hathaway and her connection to Shakespeare. The atmosphere was peaceful and romantic, perfect for a Valentine’s Day outing. Highly recommend for history lovers and anyone looking for a charming, picturesque experience!

Lovely receptionists and guides at Anne Hathaways. Friendly welcome among the front desk staff and knowledgeable guides. Even if it was my third time visiting Anne Hathaways Cottage, I still find it fascinating to look at the rooms and their contents and listen to the guides with their bags of knowledge of the old residents of Anne Hathaways Cottage. Totally recommend to visit on your next trip to Stratford upon Avon.

There were a few special places my parents took me to when I was young. One of the most memorable with a modern day leading english actress by the same name. We were presented with a yellow which was my elder sister's and mine which was sky blue. Colour printed with thin pages only about four inches square with two small staples on the seam. My thoughts I was so proud to have been given something to take home. Thank you.

William Shakespeare's wife Anne Hathaway lived here before she was married. Built in 1460 AD and still standing.
